City Council honors Alex Fraser
The San Jose City council recognized and commended Alex Fraser for 14 years of "extraordinary" service to San Jose on Monday, Sept. 8.

The commendation noted that Fraser, who lives in Almaden Hills Estates, "has demonstrated a dedication to volunteer service, provided insightful analysis of proposed city policies and has shown forward-thinking leadership on neighborhood matters."
Fraser, a San Jose Prepared volunteer trainer and community organizer, has spent more than 60 hours teaching San Jose residents how to safeguard their families and neighborhoods in the event of a disaster. In addition, he has been an active member of the Almaden Hills Estates Homeowners Association in which he served as president and vice president as well as organizing neighborhood beautification events and promoted community unity.
Fraser also served on the San Jose Budget Review Task Force, the Mayor's Project Diversity Screening Committee and Downtown Entertainment Ordinance Task Force and supporting strong neighborhood development citywide, while providing other significant contributions to the city.
