Blossom Valley, Santa Teresa Area Crime Report

Residential Burglary
Current Avenue and Jesse James Drive

A residential burglary was halted as officers came in contact with the suspect. The suspect fought with the officer and escaped into nearby backyards. Multiple police units arrived in support, and established a perimeter. Glider Elementary school was contacted and initiated a Code Blue. During the course of the search, the suspect was flushed from cover. He was taken into custody and later identified as the suspect of a second burglary. Officers were injured in the struggle with the suspect and the foot pursuit. One officer was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
